DESCRIPTION:Every Sunday and Wednesday morning, hundreds of birds are sold for food out 
 of terrible conditions at the Heart of the City Farmers' Market in San 
 Francisco.\n\nContrary to the spirit of a San Francisco farmers' market, 
 the animals are a product of industrial farming and arrive wounded, sick, 
 and dehydrated. They are sold live -- two per small paper bag -- to 
 untrained individuals who bring them to their homes and restaurants to kill 
 how and when they see fit.\n\nTwice a week, we have a factory farm in the 
 middle of our city and most people are unaware. The unfortunate situation 
 presents an opportunity to advocate for the lives of these specific farmed 
 animals while also educating the public on veganism and animal rights.\n\nA 
 small group of activists has been leafleting and investigating nearly every 
 market day for months, but the time has come to take a stand. We have 
 overwhelming evidence that the live poultry vendors at the Heart of the 
 City Farmers' Market are in violation of many local, state and federal 
 laws.\n\nThe proper authorities have been notified in every case but have 
 refused to enforce. Join us on Sunday, October 10 to protest the city's 
 inaction, the market management's complacency, and the poultry vendors'
