 SAME DAY...\n\nWatsonville City Council (7:00pm for public comment - 275 
 Main St., 4th\nFloor, Watsonville, CA.)\n\nMethyl Iodide is a new toxic 
 chemical recently approved for usage by the\nCalifornia Department of 
 Pesticide Regulation (DPR) and the U.S.\nEnvironmental Protection Agency 
 (EPA) with high opposition in the United\nStates. This chemical will 
 replace Methyl Bromide, the pesticide used\nmostly on Strawberries and 
 Raspberries.\n\nMonterey and Santa Cruz Counties are most at risk by this 
 chemical since\nthey use the highest levels of Methyl Bromide 
 (approximately 1.5 million\nand 600,000 total pounds in 2008, 
 respectively). Methyl Iodide is four\ntimes more toxic and carcinogenic 
 than Methyl Bromide. If we can convince\nMonterey County and the City of 
 Watsonville, two major ag communities, to\noppose to the use of Methyl 
 Iodide, we can send a very strong message to\nthe EPA and California's
