 benefit StrangeHorizons.\n\nAbout the readers/performers:\n\nBrandon 
 Sanderson is the author of the Alcatraz novels, the Mistborn trilogy, the 
 Stormlight Archive books and the stand alone novels Elantris and 
 Warbreaker. He's also completing Robert Jordan's Wheel Of Time 
 series.\n\nShailja Patel's poetry and theatre have won awards on three 
 continents, been translated into 12 languages, and toured internationally. 
 Her book, MIGRITUDE, is forthcoming from Kaya Press in October 2010. Her 
 latest play, Bwagamoyo, was selected for the 2010 Sundance Theatre Lab. She 
 is a founding member of Kenyans for Peace, Truth and Justice. Her 
 groundbreaking project to train Kenyan activists in advocacy garnered a 
 LEAP grant from New Tactics In Human Rights, one of only seven awarded 
 globally, and is now a fully-fledged social justice fellowship program in 
 Kenya.\n\nBonnie Burton blogs at the official Star Wars website. She's the

 comedian Brian Malow is a freelance science video correspondent for Time 
 Magazine's web-site. He's been featured on The Late Late Show with Craig 
 Ferguson and in Nature, the San Fran-cisco Chronicle, the Washington Post, 
 and the New York Times.\n\nKirsten Imani Kasai is the author of Icesong, 
 plus the audiobooks Flesh Hell and Tattoo, among other works.\n\nAbout 
 Writers With Drinks:\n\nWriters With Drinks has won "Best Literary Night" 
 from the SF Bay Guardian readers' poll five years in a row and was named 
 "Best Literary Drinking" by the SF Weekly. The spoken word "variety show" 
 mixes genres to raise money for local worthy causes. The award-winning show 
 includes poetry, stand-up comedy, science fiction, fantasy, romance, 
 mystery, literary fiction, erotica, memoir, zines and blogs in a 
 freewheeling format.\n\nHostess Charlie Jane Anders blogs about science 
 fiction and futurism at io9.com. She won the Emperor Norton Award for 
 "extraordinary invention and creativity unhindered by the constraints of 
 paltry reason." She's the author of the Lambda Award-winning Choir Boy 
 (2005 Soft Skull Press) and the co-editor, with Annalee Newitz, of She's 
 Such A Geek (Seal Press 2007). She also published other magazine, which is
