DESCRIPTION:Every September, art lovers and collectors from all over the Bay Area
attend Benicia’s most exciting event: Art Benicia’s Benefit Art
Auction! Now in its 18th year, the evening will once again feature
auctioneer Ed Gold of Reynolds & Buckley to enhance the experience for
donating artists and guests alike while more effectively helping Arts
Benicia continue to nourish and celebrate cultural life in Benicia and the
greater Bay Area.\n\nGuests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy passed
appetizers and peruse the selections of this year’s Silent Auction, which
will close at 7pm. The Live Auction will commence in conjunction with
dinner catered by Benicia’s own First Street Café, and will feature
marvelous art lots, stimulating adventure packages, and scrumptious
desserts.\n\nAnd the fun doesn’t stop with the last bid! After the live
auction, photographers Michael Van Auken and Michael Malerba will host a
special commemorative portrait opportunity for couples and groups, a
perfect way to remember the evening!\n\nAdvance reservations are $55 per
person and $100 for couples. Tickets have been selling fast; don’t miss
the action and opportunity to support an important community organization:
Arts Benicia! To RSVP: please visit the Arts Benicia website at
 www.artsbenicia.org or contact the gallery at (707-747-0131;
info@artsbenicia.org). \n\nMajor sponsors this year include IronHorse Home
Furnishings, Benicia Magazine, and The Rellik Tavern who in addition to a
cash sponsorship, has donated $500 in gift cards to be gifted to Auction
volunteers. Additional sponsors are Westamerica Bank, Allied Container
Systems and BAIC Multimedia & IT Solutions who is offering in-kind
technical support. \n\n\nMore information about Arts Benicia:\n\nLike many
non-profits, Arts Benicia has been impacted by the economic downturn. Now
more than ever Arts Benicia relies heavily upon the revenue generated from
this annual benefit event.\n\nFor over 20 years, Arts Benicia has served as
the hub of Benicia’s large Arts community, nurturing inspiration in
artists and the community at large with diverse exhibitions, classes and
adjunct activities. Arts Benicia gives visitors the opportunity to
experience art in a myriad of ways: from viewing, to learning, to creating,
and the ensuing inspiration that develops is far reaching beyond the
gallery walls. \n\nArts Benicia’s ability to stimulate and educate the
entire community is reflected in every event and program, from The Art of a
Community, the annual open Members’ exhibition, to the growing
Children’s Gallery Program that engages local schools, to the off-site
Arts Benicia Presents exhibitions around town. Arts Benicia’s regional
recognition as a stellar non-profit Arts organization continues to play a
crucial role in celebrating the Arts as a focal point of Benicia, and
enriching the cultural life of the area. \n\n
