 protest the proposed sit/lie law.\n\nDAN & CHERYL (Dan Spencer & Cheryl 
 Meeker):\nThe art team Dan and Cheryl™ have been working together since 
 2004. Having done collaborative works under Stretcher’s exhibitions at 
 Southern Exposure in The Way We Work, and in Bay Area Now 4 at Yerba Buena 
 Center for the Arts, Dan and Cheryl now collaborate on two works for CIO 
 – the Summer of Tough Love.\n\nDan and Cheryl /Market Fatigue. Staying in 
 bed because they have run to the end of their credit limits and are 
 exhausted by looking for jobs, Dan and Cheryl protest the proposed sit-lie 
 law by taking to bed in the financial and shopping districts of San 
 Francisco.\n\nDan and Cheryl / online gallery of bumper stickers for CIO. 
 Inspired by the also-ran header designed by Andy Cox for the Capitalism Is 
 Over If You Want It website, Dan and Cheryl decided to make Andy’s design 
 into a bumper sticker. The poignancy of a radically un-PC format like a 
 bumper sticker in a fossil fool’s world suggested the romance and 
 implausibility of the quixotic task of curating an on-line gallery of 
 bumper stickers appropriate to the Summer of Tough Love.\n
