 local governments promote anti-immigrant laws like Arizona’s SB 1070 and 
 right- wing groups target Latinos, the establishment media whip up fear and 
 anger. But organizing and protests in defense of immigrant rights are 
 taking place from Boston to Phoenix. There are no borders in the workers’ 
 struggle!\n\nPlus: War and Resistance in Afghanistan\nThe firing of Gen. 
 Stanley McChrystal comes on the heels of multiple victories by the Afghan 
 insurgency over U.S. and NATO forces in the past several months. Now Gen. 
 David Petraeus has decided to promote a violent civil war in Afghan 
 villages. The U.S. ruling class is hoping to reduce U.S. casualties by 
 encouraging fighting between different ethnic groups.  But this is a war 
 that the occupiers cannot win.  The U.S. military may succeed in escalating 
 loss of Afghan lives, to which they attach no value, but they will be 
 unable to defeat the resistance of the Afghan people.\n\nLocation: 2489
