DESCRIPTION:Our friend Davy was arrested at a downtown Berkeley action in protest of 
 the Johannes Mehserle verdict the night of Thursday, July 15th. He was 
 arrested for nothing other than participating in this protest. However, 
 while all other arrestees recieved only 7 day stay-away orders, he was 
 singled out, taken away and charged with felony possession of an illegal 
 knife and misdemeanor obstruction of justice. He's currently being held at 
 Santa Rita jail on $7,500 bail. Because he was singled out and won't be 
 handled in a group, we're trying to get as much court support together as 
 possible. Davy is a U.S. military combat veteran, war resister and member 
 of Iraq Veterans Against the War. He is an important and well-loved member 
 of our community, and damn it, we want him back! \n\nIf you are a lawyer,

 Recognizance, please contact us. If you don't want to see this country turn
