DESCRIPTION:JULY IS THE MONTH OF PET*A*PALOOZA IN ALAMEDA\n\nAutobody Fine Art
 presents:\n“Dog Days 3, - Petapalooza”\nSaturday July 24th 1:00pm –
9:00pm\nTickets $20.00 (good for the day and the evening event)\n\nA
Benefit for: The Alameda Animal Shelter\nNorthern California German
Shorthaired Pointer Rescue \nAssisted by the Friends of the Alameda Animal
Shelter (FAAS)\n\nFor the third year in a row, Autobody Fine Art is proud
to host a benefit for the Alameda Animal Shelter and Northern California
German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue (Norcal GSP Rescue). This year, “Dog
Days 3 – Petapalooza,” will be an all day event, featuring an outdoor
street fair in the back lot of the Autobody building. Here you will find
vendors selling pet related items such as collars, beds and even some tasty
snacks. The Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (a 501 (c)(3) non profit
organization), are setting up a photo booth where you and your pet will be
able to have your portrait taken with a suitably sunny backdrop. As part of
the event, we will be hosting our first ever dog fashion show, please
contact us in advance if you would like your pooch to walk down the
catwalk, or if you make dog fashions and are looking for a model. More
details will be announced on the website: www.autobodyfineart.com, as the
event draws near.\n\nLast year we made over $8,000.00 for these
organizations, help us double that figure in 2010. With the current
turndown in the economy, rescue groups and shelters are in need of support
more than ever. These two organizations shelter, foster and ultimately
place unwanted or homeless animals in their “forever” home. Through
education and tireless volunteerism, the Alameda Animal Shelter has helped
place hundreds of dogs and cats with loving, responsible guardians across
the Island, not to mention the occasional rabbit! NorCal GSP Rescue, a
breed specific rescue group, takes adoptable GSP’s from shelters across
Northern California , treats them medically, whenever necessary, and
fosters and re-homes these noble hunting dogs. They are particularly
sensitive to the needs of elder and undernourished dogs and those that need
immediate veterinary care. Please visit their website at
www.norcalgsprescue.org, to learn more about their programs. This year, for
the first time, we will be assisted by the Friends of the Alameda Animal
Shelter (a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization),. Check out their website
http://faas.bbnow.org, and see how they support and advocate for the
Alameda Animal Shelter. We’re thrilled to have their help and
enthusiasm.\n\nNow you can help these groups and have a great day out!
Catering will be provided by Monas Table of Alameda, and the event will be
sponsored by Mutt Lynch Winery and by Trumer Pils. More information about
our sponsors and some of the great raffle prizes will be available on our
website, www.autobodyfineart.com, over the next couple of months, - check
in regularly! We look forward to seeing you on July 24th, there will be (at
least) a couple of dogs there to greet you! Feel free to bring your own
animal companion for the afternoon portion of the days activities. Tickets
for the event will be $20.00 (good for the entire event, you may come and
go as needed), available in advance from Autobody Fine Art, or at the door
during the event. Children (under ten) and retired persons can purchase
tickets for $10.00. All proceeds go to the Alameda Animal Shelter, FAAS (a
501 (c)(3) non profit organization), and NorCal GSP Rescue (a 501(c)(3)
non-profit corporation, funded by donations, fundraisers, and adoption
donations).\n\nThe Petapalooza Street Faire will run from 1:00pm – 6:00pm
on July 24th in the back parking lot behind Autobody Fine Art. The Faire
will feature a variety of pet themed vendors and a photobooth organized by
the Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) where Fido can be
photographed amidst a sunny beach scene. Crowning the afternoons
entertainment Petapalooza is proud to present it’s first ever “Dogs on
the Catwalk” Fashion Show.” Yes, it’s Project Runway for pooches.
Local doggie fashion designers will have hair and make-up in place for
their canine models and a trio of Alameda vets and groomers will be in
place to judge the winner. Come join in the afternoon fun and stay for the
silent auction and evening’s entertainment.\n\nFor more information,
