DESCRIPTION:Be a part of the 2010 - 30th Anniversary - Uhuru Pies holiday fundraiser. 
 Get involved now! We need everyone to make this a successful 
 fundraiser.\n\nUhuru Pies is a fundraising program of the African People's 
 Education and Defense Fund that began in 1981 in Oakland, California. 
 \n\nDuring the month of November, 2010, individuals, organizations and 
 businesses take part in the Bay Area's biggest bake sale. Funds from this 
 fundraiser support economic development programs of the African Village 
 Survival Initiative. \n\nStarting in March, we are talking to as many 
 people as we can about how you can participate in this campaign. \n\nWe 
 need community organizers, bakers, graphic artists and socially conscious 
 volunteers to be a part of this effort, NOW!\nAttend the Launch Meeting on 
 March 28. \n\nCan't attend on March 28? Write to us and get involved 
 virtually or in the future.\n
