DESCRIPTION:Community Town Hall on New Prison Facilities in Stockton\n\nRecently,
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared that never again will California
spend more on prisons than higher education. The state is proposing
expansion; with 3 new state prison facilities in Stockton/San Joaquin
County. This would make our county the Prison Capital of the state bringing
the total \nto 5 Prisons located in our community! The local ESPINO
Coalition (Escuelas Si!, Pintas No!) invites you to join the discussion at
the community town hall scheduled for February 18th at Delta College to
gather community input, create \nawareness of these issues and explore what
other communities have done to mitigate the environmental and community
impact. \n\nSpeakers: \n•All of Us or None, Sacramento \n•Books Not
Bars, Oakland \n•Prison Moratorium Project, Fresno \n•ESPINO Coalition,
