 garnered nearly a\nhalf million votes in a run for State Controller in 2002 
 – will\nannounce she is running for the Green Party of 
 California\nnomination for Governor Tuesday here Tuesday.\n\nMs Wells will 
 make the announcement at a news conference TUESDAY,\nFeb. 2, 9:30 a.m. at 
 the Coffee Mill in Oakland (3363 Grand Ave).\n\nMs. Wells, 62, is a former 
 financial and business analyst. Her\n420,000 vote count in 2002 is the most 
 any state or national\nGreen Party candidate has received in a partisan 
 statewide race.\n\nAn expert in stocks, bond, pension funds and real 
 estate, Wells,\ncontinues the tradition of Peter Camejo, an investment 
 specialist\nwho made several runs for governor earlier this century.\n\nMs. 
 Wells  is expected Tuesday to outline a plan to "fix the way\nmoney works" 
 in California, creating a fairer tax system to\nbenefit the vast majority 
 of taxpayers, and providing "great"\nschools, universal healthcare, job
