DESCRIPTION:The San Jose Peace and Justice Center announces its first annual Gertrude 
 Welch Peace and Justice Award.\n\nThe award for 2010 will be shared by 
 pioneers of the Free Gaza Movement: Greta Berlin, Paul Larudee, and Kathy 
 Sheetz.  Greta and Paul are the co-founders of the Free Gaza Movement, and 
 Paul and Kathy are local activists, all of whom courageously sailed in 
 August 2008 on the first small fishing boats to break the decades-long 
 Israeli siege of Gaza.\n\nThe awards ceremony will be followed by a 
 reception / potluck dinner.\n\nAfter dinner, a fundraiser will be held for 
 the planned sailings of the Free Gaza Movement and the Free Palestine 
 Movement.\n\nSharat G. Lin will speak on "The siege of Gaza and why Gaza is 
 a key to peace between Israelis and Palestinians."\n\nDonna Wallach, 
 Darlene Wallach, Greta Berlin, and Paul Larudee will tell about their 
 experiences in Gaza and plans for future sailings to break the
