DESCRIPTION:Every day, hundreds of homeless people in San Francisco are pushed into a 
 runaround by our shelter system that is devastating: It complicates 
 illnesses, prevents people from getting into housing and jobs, and leaves 
 thousands of our city's residents sleeping outside while dozens of shelter 
 beds go unused.\n\nBut this obstacle course entails barriers that are 
 frequently entirely foreign to housed San Franciscans. On Friday, January 
 29, at 2 p.m., the Coalition on Homelessness will bring that struggle to 
 Civic Center Plaza. Join us in a rousing roast of the exasperating race to 
 get a shelter bed, and help fund the work that we do to make that real race
