DESCRIPTION:COMMUNITY DISCUSSION\nVideo presentation of current analysis on Haiti\nfrom
the African Socialist International\n\nIn the wake of the devastation
following the 7.0 earthquake on January 12, 2010, the African People’s
Solidarity Committee, a white organization working under the leadership of
the African People’s Socialist Party, expresses our deepest solidarity
with African people in Haiti.\n\nLike Katrina, this is a natural disaster
intensified by colonial conditions that have been imposed by the U.S. for
decades.\n\nWe unite with the efforts to send massive resources into Haiti
as quickly as possible. \n\nBut the disaster hit Haiti 200 years ago and
its problem is the colonial devastation that has long subjected this proud
and once independent and prosperous African-led country to live on a diet
of mud pies and dwell in tin shanty towns.\n\n• The U.S. & French
overthrew the democratically elected government of Aristide in 2004. U.S. &
U.N. troops are responsible for raping & murdering the people of
Haiti.\n\n• Africans fleeing Haiti have been terrorized & locked in
concentration camps in the U.S.\n\n• The U.S. has systematically
plundered Haiti’s economy and natural resources for thebenefit of the
white world, leaving Africans in Haiti in desperate poverty, forced to
subsist on pies made of mud.\n\nThese are the same colonial conditions
faced by African people everywhere. The solution is Africans uniting
worldwide to regain control of Africa and all her stolen resources!\n\nJoin
Africa’s Resources in African Hands Action Network and the Uhuru
Solidarity Movement. \n\nWe are an activist organization that works under
the leadership of the African-led Uhuru Movement. We organize solidarity &
raise resources for the worldwide struggle of African people for control
 over their land, communities and
 resources.\n\noakland@uhurusolidarity.org\n510-625-1106\nhttp://uhurusolidarity.blogspot.com/2010/01/devastation-began-more-than-200-years.html\n
