 is a forum for land use/The Commons discussion and social networking for 
 environmentalists, and we've asked John Dennis, libertarian Republican to 
 face the music regarding the commons. Libertarians don't often concede that 
 there is a commons, and even less often admist that anything like the 
 commons ought to fund public programs. On the other hand, John Dennis, 
 candidate for Nancy Pelosi's 8th Congressional District office would bring 
 discussion of land use issues to the fore by ending gross US military 
 environmental degradation abroad.\n\nIn short, don't snort a libertarian 
 off the stage when he's willing to do in foreign policy what Pelosi won't 
 do, but which many San Franciscans want.\n\nInstead, come pose tough 
 environmental questions to a candidate who's on-board with San Francisco's
