DESCRIPTION:Bekah Wolf would like to speak to us about the Palestine Solidarity Project
http://palestinesolidarityproject.org/, which she founded with her husband
and other Palestinian farmers in 2006. As is her personal story, PSP is
unique: PSP is organized and run by Palestinian farmers and goes beyond
the efforts of isolated villages like Bil'in in that it is building a mass
movement of Palestinians; PSP crosses political party lines. \n \nBekah
Wolf will be asking for financial support for the Palestine Solidarity
Project after her presentations. Therefore, if you are so inclined, don't
forget to bring your checkbooks with you when you come to hear Bekah!\n
\n\nAbout Bekah Wolf:\n \nBekah Wolfe was born in New Mexico in 1980, in a
religious Jewish family. In 2006 Bekah Wolf moved to Palestine to settle in
the West Bank agricultural village of Beit Ommar, which is near Hebron.
Bekah worked with the Palestinian farmers in the village to organize a
non-violent struggle against settler attacks and dispossession of their
lands by the Israeli occupation – a tough task in the settler-heavy
region of Hebron.\n\nBekah’s work is unique in that it involves
sustained, rather than short-term, activism. Bekah has settled in West
Bank, living permanently in the village where she recently married Mousa
Abu Maria, a Palestinian farmer with whom she organizes the village's
resistance to settlers and occupation.\n\nThe Palestinian Solidarity
Project is an enormous undertaking. Bekah and her team's success in the
villages close to Hebron provide a great model from which we can learn,
from which we can work and from which we can all be inspired.\n\n \n
