DESCRIPTION:Historian and activist, Howard Zinn is most well known for his alternative
portrait of American history, “A People’s History of the United
States.” Here Zinn proves himself a talented playwright, presenting a
play that is both enlightening and entertaining!\n\nCome see Howard Zinn's
Marx in Soho one of three nights! Saturday the 9th, Sunday the 10th and
Monday the 11th. At 8pm.\n\n$15 suggested donation. No one turned
away.\n\nHoward Zinn’s “Marx in Soho” portrays the return of Marx.
Embedded in some secular afterlife where intellectuals, artists, and
radicals are sent, Marx is given permission by the administrative committee
to return to Soho London to have his say. But through a bureaucratic
mix–up, he winds up in SOHO in New York. From there the audience is given
a rare glimpse of a Marx seldom talked about; Marx the man.\n\nThe Play
offers an entertaining and thorough introduction to a person who knows
little about Marx’s life, while also offering valuable insight to
students of his ideas.\n\nDirected by Michael Fox Kennedy with Jerry Levy
 as Karl Marx.\n\nhttp://www.levyarts.com/\nhttp://www.flux53.com/\n
