 Israel rights abuse\n\nSACRAMENTO – Jewish, peace and veterans 
 organizations will\nconfront Israel's major lobby group and local elected 
 officials\nSunday to protest against what they call Israel's\n"human rights 
 violation and war crimes."\n\nA "peace picket" will be set up around the 
 Radisson Hotel (500\nleisure Lane) SUNDAY,11 a.m. to protest AIPAC 
 (American Israel\nPublic Affairs Committee) at its annual luncheon where 
 prominent\nSacramento politicians are expected to attend.\n\nVISUAL: 
 Activists will erect a 150 foot-long wall/guard towers\ndepicting the wall 
 Israel uses in Palestine.\n\n"We expect our elected representatives to 
 support human rights\nand international law...we have asked that they not 
 attend the\nannual Sacramento Area American Israel Public Affairs 
 Committee\n(AIPAC) luncheon being held today at the Radisson Hotel 
 in\nSacramento," said the coalition of peace groups in a letter 
 to\nSacramento-area lawmakers.\n\nThe peace groups charged that those 
 elected officials attending\nthe Sunday AIPAC affair, "are saying to our 
 community that they\ndo not support human rights or international 
 law."\n\n"We are part of a growing constituency that recognizes that 
 the\nagenda and actions of Israel's hard-line, militarist government\nand 
 of AIPAC do not reflect the values we want practiced in our\ncommunity or 
 taught to our children. The over $3 billion dollars\na year that the U.S. 
 gives Israel is money that could be spent to\nmeet human needs in our own 
 country and in the world," the letter\nstated.\n\nAmong the organizations 
 signing onto the letter, and sending\npicketers Sunday are Jewish Voice for 
 Peace, Sacramento;\nSacramento Area Peace Action; Palestine American 
 Congress,\nSacramento; Grandmothers for Peace; Veterans For Peace, 
 Chapter\n87; Free Palestine Alliance; Al Awda, The Palestine Right 
 to\nReturn Coalition; Peace in the Precincts; Sacramento Coalition to\nEnd 
 the War; Women's International League for Peace and Freedom;\nPeace and 
 Freedom Party Sacramento and the Sacramento County\nGreen
