 in demanding that the Bay Area Air Quality Management District addresses 
 the cumulative and inequitable impacts of toxic air pollution that hits 
 hardest on low-income and working class communities of color. 
 \n\nLow-income, people of color and immigrants are disproportionately 
 exposed to toxic air pollution and its associated health risks.\n\nBAEHC is 
 demanding that the District adopt our proposed Pollution Reduction 
 Protocol, which calls for an end to new pollution and implementation of 
 pollution reduction plans in overburdened communities.\n\nRecently, the 
 District proposed regulatory changes that were a step in the right 
 direction and would have created stricter air pollution thresholds in 
 highly impacted communities.  \n\nHowever, after pressure from industry 
 forces who demanded to conduct "business as usual," the District withdrew 
 their proposal for more health-protective standards in the communities most 
 impacted by pollution.\n\nWe need your support. Here's what you can do to 
 help:\n(1) Add your organization's name to our sign-on letter. (View the 
 browser version here).\n\n(2) Mobilize with us for the upcoming Air 
 District meetings on Dec. 2nd and Dec. 16th at 9:30 am at 939 Ellis St. in 
 San Francisco (near Van Ness) in San Francisco.\n\n(3) Call the Air 
 District Board Member who should be representing you. Tell them to protect 
 community health by adopting BAEHC's Pollution Reduction Protocol and 
 creating additional health-protective standards for communities most
