 Concert: The World Premier of Earth Tones. Frederick Harris is a virtuoso 
 pianist equally at home in the realms of Beethoven and Bebop. This new, 
 6-movement work for solo piano, composed by City College Music Instructor 
 Lenny Carlson, is almost entirely notated, but is set in different jazz 
 styles: modern, blues, jazzwaltz, latin, classic blues, avant garde and 
 ragtime. This concert will feature the premiere performance of Earth Tones, 
 along with other selected classical and jazz/standard repertoire pieces.
