DESCRIPTION:Russian cyberattacks on Georgia and Estonia, Chinese intrusions into US
Government networks, and the creation of a US Cyber Command – have we
entered a new era of cyberwarfare? Or is the threat, like the Cold War’s
bomber and missile gaps, overstated? Some experts see a potentially
catastrophic threat and are adapting nuclear weapons doctrine to
cyberwarfare. Other experts see little difference between cybersecurity
and commercial computer security. What is real, and what is
hype?\n\nJoshua Lin is head of anti-fraud product marketing at MarkMonitor,
the global leader in enterprise brand protection. Specializing in internet
security, he has worked in technology for over 10 years. He has also
worked as a software venture capitalist at Summit Partners, a mergers and
acquisitions banker at Lazard Frères, and a China analyst at the National
Committee on US-China Relations and the American Enterprise Institute. He
received his master’s degree in international relations from Oxford
University and his bachelor’s degree from Williams College. \n\nMembers
