 and media activist, film makers, alternative and independent media 
 journalist, radio activist and technicians, web activist, progressive 
 audiovisual workers, and all peoples of the world in general, an invitation 
 to participate in the first ever Independent Media and Video World 
 Festival: Solidarity has No Borders-In Memory of Brad Will. The Festival 
 begins October 27th, the day video activist Bradley Roland Will was 
 assassinated by gunmen men protected by the Mexican government while 
 carrying out his work as an independent media video reporter during the 
 Oaxacan uprisings, and ends on November 29, the tenth anniversary of the 
 indymedia.org project, born during the WTO protest in Seattle.\n\nThe aim 
 of the festival is to bring together independent media and video activists 
 from around the world, to celebrate and demonstrate the growth and reach 
 that the Independent Media movement has had in the last ten years. An 
 invitation to reactivate and strengthen networks of collaboration, and 
 collective organization around a World Festival, featuring independent 
 video documentaries and films made by video and media activist, and a 
 celebration of all other forms of independent media communication, 
 including radio, graphic, print and web journalism, and 
 technologies.\n\nThe dynamic of the festival will be decentralized, and can 
 vary depending on the form and style that the local organizing committee 
 decides to use. In essence, the invitation to organize and carryout this 
 World Festival is to program a series of video screenings of independent 
 media and video documentaries and films, that will establish and motive for 
 international cooperation, celebration, reflection, proposals, and action 
 in the realm of independent media activism and technology.\n\nWe propose 
 the festival be untied internationally by various threads, the most obvious 
 being by theme, anniversary dates, specified dates where various points can 
 connect over the net with video conferences and actions that we can 
 carryout simultaneously, and an articulation of political messages and 
 demands to spread across the world.\n\nThe festival is for all persons that 
 use video as a tool for political activism, social communication, and 
 denunciations. Its primary objective is to create networks between social 
 video producers and collectives.\n\nAbout the videos: Videos can be 
 vloggins (video blog on internet with a maximum time length of 10 minutes), 
 short-length, full-length videos with a documentary or fiction theme. 
 Videos can be entered as a group, by pseudonym, or as individual personal 
 creation. Peoples of all nationalities, cultures, and comunites can 
 participate in this festival.\n\n\nThe Festival will be carried out in 
 three areas of work.\n\nInternet\:\n\nThe festival will screen videos we 
 receive in low-resolution over the internet during previously programmed 
 hours, creating simultanoeus international screenings of various videos. 
 And with the video makers permission, the viewer or screening event 
 organizer will be able to download videos in high resolution, for screening 
 and distribution by others video enthusiast in the 
 world.\n\nConferences:\n\nIn various spaces where videos are screened, the 
 festival will organize video-conferences with the video’s creator(s) 
 after the screening of their work, including thematic debates on 
 independent media and free

 videoactivistas, periodistas  alternativos, trabajadores audiovisuales 
 progresistas, y a los pueblos del mundo a participar en el primer Festival 
 Mundial de Video de los Medios Libres. La Solidaridad no Tiene Fronteras. A 
 llevarse a cabo a partir del 27 de Octubre, fecha en la que es asesinado el 
 videoactivista Brad Will por sicarios protegido por el gobierno mexicano 
 mientras realizaba su trabajo de reportero de video de Indymedia.org 
 durante los levantamientos en Oaxaca en el 2006.\n\nEl Festival concluirá 
 el 30 de noviembre, décimo aniversario del proyecto de Indymedia.org, que 
 nace en esta fecha durante las protestas en Seattle contra la OMC.\n\nEl 
 Festival busca reunir activistas de medios libres y de video en todas 
 partes del mundo, para celebrar y demostrar el crecimiento y alcance que a 
 tenido el movimiento de Indymedia.org en los últimos diez años. Es una 
 invitación a reactivar y fortalecer las redes de trabajo, colaboración y 
 la organización colectiva alrededor de un Festival Mundial, resaltando 
 video documentales y films producidos por activistas de video y de medios 
 libres, y una celebración de todas las demás formas de medios libres de 
 comunicación incluyendo radio, grafica, periodismo impreso y en línea, y 
 tecnologías del Internet.\n\nLa dinámica del Festival será 
 descentralizada, y puede variar dependiendo de la forma y estilo que el 
 comité organizador local prefiera usar. En esencia, la invitación de 
 organizar y realizar este Festival Mundial es para programar una serie de 
 muestras de films y videos independientes de los medios libres, que 
 establecería un motivo para la cooperación internacional, la 
 celebración, la reflexión, propuestas, y acción en el ámbito del 
 activismo y las tecnologías de los medios libres.\n\nProponemos que el 
 festival sea unido por varios lazos lo mas obvio, siendo el tema, las 
 fechas de aniversario, fechas especificas donde varios puntos del festival 
 pueden contactarse a través del Internet durante las video conferencias y 
 las acciones que podamos realizar simultáneamente, y una articulación 
 política con demandas que podemos difundir por todo el mundo.\n\nSobre los 
 videos, pueden participar vloggins (video de Internet hasta 10 min.), mini 
 metrajes, cortometrajes o largo metrajes con temática de documental o 
 ficción.\n\nPueden participar a titulo de grupo, pseudónimo o creación 
 individual. Puden participar todas las nacionalidades, culturas y pueblos 
 del mundo.\n\nSobre el Festival se llevara a cabo en tres rutas de 
 trabajo:\n\n- Internet: El festival proyectara la muestra en baja 
 resolución por Internet en horarios agendados, (los creadores que así lo 
 permitan podrán hospedar su material para descarga de los ineternautas en 
 alta resolución).\n\n- Mesas Temáticas: En algunos lugares de proyección 
 de los videos se realizaran charlas y video charlas con los creadores de 
 los documentales, así como debates temáticos sobre los medios y el 
 software libre.\n\n- Proyecciones: Agenda Nacional e Internacional de 
 Proyecciones, lugares que colaboran en la promoción del festival 
 (invitados todas los cine clubes, video clubes, video salas y centros 
 sociales y culturales, así como organizaciones sociales y
