DESCRIPTION:Thursday, October 29, 12: 30 PM \nSave the Mejia-Perez Family \nStop
Deportation of the Mejia-Perez Family\nWe have less than a week to stop the
forceful and permanent separation of our neighbor and an American family.
Gilbert Mejia-Perez is currently in court proceedings concerning his
removal. His parents are scheduled to be deported from the United States on
 November 3rd - less than a week from today.\nTOMORROW IS SALVADOR MEJIA'S
BIRTHDAY. HIS ONLY WISH IS FOR HIS FAMILY TO REMAIN IN THE UNITED STATES.
HIS LAST HOPE IS SENATOR FEINSTEIN. \nAs part of our efforts to save this
family, we are going to be holding a vigil in front of Senator Feisntein's
office. We'll be outside her building to show our support for this family.
We hope to have your presence. But even if you can't make it, please help
us by spreading the word. \nWe will also have a call-in day on Thursday,
Nov. 29th (same day as the vigil), and we ask that you take a few minutes
to call the following people: \nPlease take the following actions for
Gilbert and his family:\nCall Senator Feinstein at (202) 224-3841 and urge
her to introduce a private bill for the Mejia- Perez Family immediately.
They are a mixed-status family, composed of a DREAM Act student, two US
Citizen children, and hardworking, undocumented parents, who left their
home country out of fear for their lives. They contribute to their
community in every way possible and California is their home.\nCall the
local ICE Field Office Director, Timothy Aitken, at 415.844.5512 and urge
him to grant a deferred action for the Mejia-Perez family. Deportation of
the parents, Salvador and Elida, would cause exceptional hardship for the
two US Citizen daughters, ages 4 and 13, both of whom have serious and
ongoing medical needs.\nCall DHS Assistant Secretary John Morton at
202.732.3000 and urge him to grant the deferred action for the
 family.\n\n\n\n\nhttp://www.facebook.com/david.quinley?ref=profile#\n\n
