 the commission for the Parc de la Villette, a $300-million, 125-acre 
 cultural facility designed as an “urban park for the 21st 
 century.”\n\nRecent major, award-winning projects include the new Alfred 
 Lerner Hall student center on the Columbia University campus in New York, 
 the Museum for African Art in New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art in 
 São Paulo, and the New Acropolis Museum in Athens. Bernard Tschumi is a 
 permanent resident of the United States with dual French and Swiss 
 citizenship. He has taught at Columbia University, the Architectural 
 Association School in London, the Institute for Architecture and Urban 
 Studies in New York, Princeton University, and the Cooper Union.\n
