 important local organizations such as Copwatch, the Green Party, the 
 Prisoner's Literature Project, The International Solidarity Movement and 
 the International Workers of the World. Having a space to work is 
 absolutely crucial to progressive organizers and workspace is an extremely 
 rare commodity. Named after the radical community newspaper "Grassroots" 
 that was once produced at the house, the Grassroots House is a place that 
 fosters and supports truly "grassroots" politics and groups. Now that the 
 paperwork is done and this building is legally the property of the people-
