SUMMARY:BILL HARD Lefty Activist(1936 - 2009)ANTI-MEMORIAL POT LUCK-GERSTLE PARK, SAN RAFAEL
LOCATION:Saturday, September 12, 4 - 6:30 PM \nBILL HARD (1936 - 2009)
 \nANTI-MEMORIAL POT LUCK\nPlease bring a dish to share...\nGERSTLE PARK,
SAN RAFAEL (IN THE REDWOOD GROVE) \nNO ALCOHOL PERMITTED ON THE PREMISES
\nWe are gathering to share memories of Bill. And there will probably be
lots to share, since Bill had many friends and a life full of adventure and
accomplishments. A revolutionary activist, Bill was repeatedly jailed for
civil disobedience. He was a cabinet maker of extraordinary art and skill.
He wrote informatively and eloquently on political struggles in the US,
the Middle East and elsewhere. He harbored feral cats, studied and
respected the bathroom webs of his pet spider, cultivated his virtual
characters Littleugly and Rosalux, and fondly recounted his mountain treks
fueled only by peanut butter. At the very end of his life, he glowed with
kindness, scholarly wisdom, wit and simplicity as always. Although enraged
by injustice, capitalism and cruelty to animals, Bill seemed incapable of
anger toward friends. He was no optimist and his humor could be dark, but
for us he had no shadows. \n¡BILL HARD, PRESENTE!\n
