DESCRIPTION:Darlene and Donna Wallach, Jewish social justice activists, lived in the
Gaza Strip August to December, 2008. With other human rights activists,
they had broken the Israeli complete blockade of Gaza on the two Free Gaza
Boats, SS Liberty and SS Free Gaza. They remained 4 months living among
the people and accompanying Palestinian fishermen and farmers in perilous
circumstances as they were harassed and shot at by Israeli military while
in Gaza waters and on Gaza land. They witnessed Israeli occupation force
soldiers constantly violating the 6 month June 2008 truce and collectively
punishing the 1.5 million Palestinians living there. Hear them speak of
the spirit, resilience, kindness and sense of humor of the Palestinian
 people.\n https://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2009/09/05/18620935.php
