 II\nWho Really Defeated the Nazis?\nSeptember 1st commemorates the 70th 
 anniversary of the start of World War II.  What were the underlying causes 
 of this war in which 50 million people died?  What is fascism and how did 
 it rise?  What were the objectives of the U.S. in the war?\n\nJoin us for a 
 report and discussion on the principle role of the USSR in defeating the 
 Nazis in the war; why it signed the Non-Aggressive Treaty with Germany and 
 other important issues. We will also see video excerpts from the “The 
 Unknown War”, a moving 1978 documentary that focuses on the Soviet
