DESCRIPTION:Tired of hearing about how the whole world is going to shit and feeling 
 powerless to stop it? We are too.\n\nThat's why IMPACT! is organizing a 
 series of workshops, interactive discussions and activities to give young 
 people the skills they need to organize in their community, campuses and 
 workplaces, and empower themselves to take action for social 
 justice.\n\nSome things that will be discussed include:\nWhat is community 
 organizing? Why is it important?\nCampaign/Action Strategy\nCommunicating 
 your message to the public\nBuilding grassroots social movements\nDealing 
 with the media\nHistory of youth movement in Petaluma (last 4-6 years, 
 roughly)\nIMPACT!- Vision and Principles\nAnti-Racism/Sexism\n\nWe'll also 
 be watching a short movie, having various discussions and role-plays, and 
 there's also probably a couple surprises in store for all attendees\n\nThis 
 workshop will start on Saturday, August 29th, from 6pm-10pm, at 1251 Marian 
 Way\nThen, the next day, we will be meeting at the Phoenix Theater from 
 10-4pm.\nFood will be provided.\n\nThis event is absolutely free and open
