DESCRIPTION:George Tsongas got to San Francisco in 1945 and his one-liners and short
poems spoke through the beat scene to the present. He was a co-founder and
editor of The San Francisco Oracle in the 60's, and continues to write
regularly.\n\nHe recently broke his neck and is laid up in a rehab
hospital, and his punker son, Mike, is putting on a benefit for
him.\n\nCheck out some of his favorite poets: Gene Berson, Joie Cook and
Diamond Dave Whitaker. Music by Steve "Crosscut" Ciskelai and friends, and
Galen Tsongas.\n\n$20 suggested donation, but all contributions will get
 admission.\n\nit's an \nincredible \nimbalance \nwhen people \nmust trade
