DESCRIPTION:Groomed for Success and Erin Markey will take turns trotting out short
comedic sets of original characters and material. From obvious jokes to
creepy and innovative performance art, there will be plenty to make you
laugh and scratch your face. Tongue-in-cheek jabs at estrogen comedy, real
conversations of brohams repeated, silver fox gay men worshipped, fresh
show tunes and intentional nudity will all make the stage at I DESERVE
 THIS.\n\nWhen: Wednesday through Saturday, August 26th to 29th, 8:00
 p.m.\n\nTickets:\nhttps://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/77779\n\nWHO ARE
YOU?\n\nGroomed for Success! Beth Lisick and Tara Jepsen have been
collaborating in a mostly comedic way for over ten years. They have
performed their super maxi comedy in an exhaustive list of venues and
events, including the first Homo-a-Gogo in Olympia, WA, where they
purported to think they were opening for Kate Clinton instead of Kate
Bornstein. They most recently appeared in SF Sketchfest 2009, at Fabulosa
Festival in Guerneville, CA, and at New York City's Dixon Place with
Dynasty Handbag. Their award-winning short Diving for Pearls was removed
from YouTube for an unknown offense, possibly nudity. It now appears on
 BlipTV
 (http://blip.tv/file/2428930).\nwww.bethlisick.com\nwww.tarajepsen.com\n\n\nErin
Markey! Erin Markey is a Brooklyn-based writer/performer/composer who
creates performances and plays. Her solo musical, Puppy Love: A Stripper's
Tail, toured nationally with the 2008/09 Sex Worker's Art Show and her
blues opera, Looking for Limbo, co-written with Joseph Keckler, was
selected for the Lincoln Center Director's Laboratory. Her work has shown
in decidedly diverse venues including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum,
Joe's Pub, Performance Studies International, Leslie/Lohman Gallery, Here
Arts Space, Galapagos Art Space, Club Wtever (London), Comix, The Cock,
Deja Vu Showgirls and Love Boutique, The Joyce Soho, Walter's Art Museum
(Baltimore) and frequently at Dixon Place. She is currently developing a
new telemusical, Dardy Family Home Movies by Stephen Sondheim, and is in
the process of making Puppy Love: A Stripper's Tail into a
 screenplay.\n\nTickets:\nhttps://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/77779\n\nPrice:
