harvesting projects, creek policy developments and actions - and, always,
the new projects we are working on too. \n\nThis is a great opportunity
to learn about ways to get more involved in our campaign to save Lagunitas
coho!\n\n\nalso...\n\nnext MONDAY August 10th, 6:30-9PM in Woodacre the
larger watershed community will meet for a public forum to review and
provide feedback on the new draft Salmon Enhancement Plan to improve
conditions for coho salmon and steelhead trout in the San Geronimo Valley.
The public forum will take place on from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Woodacre
Improvement Club, 3 Garden Way in Woodacre. \n\nThe salmon need you!
PLEASE ATTEND, LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS PROCESS AND HELP PROVIDE CRUCIAL

 review at
 http://www.marinwatersheds.org/app_pages/view/3.html#program_summary\n\nThe
agenda for the public forum includes:\n1) A review of the plan objectives &
goals; 2) A discussion on what salmon and steelhead need to thrive, and how
to achieve these conditions in our watershed through County and landowner
 actions; 3) Q & A with watershed scientists, planners and County staff\n
\nSan Geronimo Valley residents live in a unique and beautiful watershed!
Studies indicate that the Lagunitas Creek watershed (to which San Geronimo
is a tributary) produces up to 15% of the State’s coho population.
Steelhead trout, designated as threatened, also find important habitat in
San Geronimo Valley. The potential benefit of protecting and restoring
fish habitat in San Geronimo Valley is huge and will have important
ramifications for the entire Central California population of coho salmon
 and steelhead.\n\nCONTACT PAOLA@TIRN.NET, 415-663-8590 x111 to discuss any
aspect and for more info.\n\nPUT UP BY \n
