 (People of Color Action Theater) for KYR street skits to prevent Cops + ICE 
 abuse! Here's the low down:\n\n\nWHEN:\nThis Sunday the 19th, from 
 11am-2pm, (practice from 11am-12, 12-2pm break into groups and play out 
 skits)\n\nWHERE:\n11am-12pm, meet up at Garfield Park, 26th and Harrison, 
 in front of the pool area\n12-2pm, home base at POWER's booth, at Shotwell 
 x 24th st. We'll try to scatter up and down 24th, 24th and Mission BART 
 plaza, and other closed down streets.\n\nWHO:\nEVERYONE!!! (even non-POC 
 folks can play certain parts, as designated by POCAT members, so pls try to 
 arrive early).\n\nWHAT & WHY:\n"Know Yr Rights" skits to help prevent Cop 
 and ICE abuse, and in support of POWER's campaign for local law reform for 
 im/migrants, (or anyone!) who have to drive with out a license.  The skits 
 will be performed during "Sunday Streets", when many streets in the Mission 
 are closed down till 2pm, and tons of kids, youth and families come out 
 :)\n\nThe skits will focus on 3 issues:\n\n1)"KYR"! Spreading legal info 
 and advice when targeted by the Cops and ICE.\n\n2)Cop + ICE Watching- 
 encouraging everyone to witness, document and report messed up Cop + ICE 
 activity.\n\n3)Migrant Support- to promote the local effort to change city 
 law that would allow drivers who get caught without a license to have 
 someone else with a license to move their car instead of it getting towed. 
 The increase of vehicle seizures is on the rise in SF, mainly from check 
 points in the hood and by being profiled (DWB, driving while brown/black). 
 Many of these vehicle are the only job resource im/migrants can rely on, 
 especially for construction workers and recycling collectors. We've got to 
 stop allowing the city to get away with stealing from the poor! ;<\n\nOther 
 cities in CA have been able to convince their chief of police to allow a 
 person who has a driver's license to move the vehicle so it doesn't get 
 towed. (Many times the cars are impounded for over a month! The fee's get 
 so high that the driver's would be better off just buying their cars back 
 at an auction!) It's really a very difficult situation for folks who are 
 already struggling really hard, and hopefully the skits can help encourage 
 folks to get organized and fight for this small yet much needed
