DESCRIPTION:East Bay Int. Assn. for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) presents: \n\nNDEr
Mellen-Thomas Benedict: \n“ The Bright Future of Humanity; \nWhat I
learned on the Other Side” \n\nDeepak Chopra: “Mellen is an
encyclopedia of the afterlife” \n\nMonday, July 27, 2009, 7:30-9:30 PM
\nBFUU, 1924 Cedar Street, Berkeley \n\n(NOTE: This special meeting will be
held in the wheelchair-accessible, first floor BFUU Fellowship Hall on the
corner of Cedar and Bonita.) \n\n\nEast Bay IANDS is proud to present one
of the world's most famous near-deah experiencer - Mellen-Thomas Benedict,
who had a NDE that researcher Kenneth Ring describes as “one of the most
remarkable I have encountered in my extensive research on near-death
experiences." \n\nClinically dead for about an hour - he had brain cancer
 – Mellen returned with a dramatically different view of life. Before his
NDE, Mellen had a decidedly negative view of humanity – that people were
the “cancer” of the planet, and he was “so disinterested in religion
I wasn’t even an atheist.” \nBut, Mellen says, “The Light explained
to me that there is no death; we are immortal beings. We have already been
alive forever! I realized that we are part of a natural living system that
recycles itself endlessly.” \nAnd – despite doomsday predictions such
as the 2012 phenomenon – Mellon sees a bright future for humanity. People
don’t realize how positive even today’s current situation is, he says,
and future generations will see us as “heroic.” People in the future
will say, “Damn, they were good, they pulled it off,” he laughs.
\nThese are busy times for Mellen. This fall, he’ll publish two books –
one the full story of his NDE, the other a “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the
Afterlife.” … which will tell you what to do when you exit this life.
He’s also building a device – based on information from the other side
 – that he describes as a “battery charger” for the body, using light
as the healing element. \n\nYou won’t want to miss this meeting! Bring
your friends… and bring your questions for a Q&A session following
Mellen’s talk. \n\nEast Bay IANDS monthly meeting are open to near-death
experiencers and non-experiencers alike. A $5-$10 donation is requested to
help pay for rent and expenses; no one turned away. \n\nYou are encouraged
to bring refreshments for sharing! \n\n
