letter listings. This "al fresco" textbook for all of us will teach the
importance of a general strike which we need to put an end to the profit

18, at 1 p.m., a fascinating tour of Angel Island, the Pacific Coast's
Ellis Island immigration center, will provide insight into the Harry
Bridges Immigration Trial and the trials and tribulations of all immigrants
who arrived there as their first stop at "Gold Mountain," the Chinese name
for San Francisco.\n\nJuly 18 (Saturday) 1:00 PM \nAngel Island Immigration

Immigration Trial\nIn 1939, the Democratic Roosevelt administration sought
to expel ILWU president Harry Bridges for being a member of the Communist
party. These immigration trials took place five times and eventually as a
result of the support committee and the backing of the membership, this
witchhunt was defeated. This was a prelude to the witchhunts in the late
1940’s and 1950’s. \nMeet in front yard of the Immigration Post

\nhttp://www.aiisf.org/ \nAngel Island was the West Coast's Ellis Island,
the immigrant processing station of the 20th century, between 1910 and
1940. Most of the immigrants who came through Angel Island were Asians.
Harry Bridges was from Australia. Go to this extraordinary event to learn
how a united mass labor movement defeated the union busters, more commonly
known as the anti-communist witchhunters demonstrating the strength of the
principle, An Injury to One is An Injury to All. \nSee also:
