DESCRIPTION:STOP ETHNIC CLEANSING\n\nSOLIDARITY WITH PALESTINE NOW!\n\nThe Palestinian 
 communities of SHEIKH JARRAH and SILWAN in East Jerusalem call upon the 
 international community (that’s YOU) to stand with them against the 
 Israeli military’s campaign to evict them\n\nIn Silwan, 1500 people will 
 be made homeless on the basis that the homes have no legal permits under 
 Israeli law. Yet these homes were constructed long before Israel 
 (illegally) annexed East Jerusalem. Furthermore, Israel, being a military 
 occupier, rarely gives such building permits to Palestinians.\n\nIn Sheikh 
 Jarrah, 500 people will be removed from their homes due to Israeli 
 settlers’ legal claims from the Ottoman period. Yet their documents 
 cannot be corroborated by the Turkish government’s extensive Ottoman 
 archive, strongly suggesting these documents are FORGED.\n\nThese evictions 
 are part of a larger plan by the Jerusalem municipality to lower the number 
 of ethnically Palestinian residents of Jerusalem to less than 12% by 2020. 
 In other words, ETHNIC CLEANSING. In total, 2000 people, including children 
 and elderly folk will be made homeless in Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan.\n\nWE
