 	Better.Read_Rev@yahoo.com\n\n\nWednesday July 8th Jeff Duncan-Andrade is
coming to Santa Cruz to speak to the MA students, fellow educators, and
community members. This is going to be an amazing event where we will
engage with ideas of critical pedagogy, student identity and education in
urban settings. This is an opportunity to discuss ideas of theory
connecting with actual classroom practices--we educators taking action to
work towards equitable and empowering educational spaces.\n\nHe will be
presenting on his work : Gangstas, Wankstas, and Ridas: defining,
developing, and supporting effective \nteachers in urban schools
\n\n\nPrepare some questions and curiosities, let your friends know about
the event. This event has been in waiting for a long time and we would love
to see you here to show your support and hear some amazing ideas about
teaching for social justice.\n\nPlease RSVP if you would like to come so
that we can get a count of how many people will be attending and plan the
space accordingly. (this is really important because of the limited space
 in certain locations)\n\nJEFF DUNCAN-ANDRADE BIO\n\nBio\n\nJeffrey Michael
