 Coordinator\nProduce to the
 People\n\nwww.producetothepeople.org\nproducetothepeople@gmail.com\n\nProduce
to the People (PttP) is a backyard harvest project that collects
excess\nproduce from residential fruit trees and gardens in San Francisco.
The produce\nis given to local organizations that redistribute free food to
low-income\nfamilies and individuals, including The Free Farm Stand. We are
in the process\nof initiating an employment program for high school
students, harvesting\nproduce on bicycles, working at food distribution
sites, and learning about\nlocal food systems, environmental stewardship,
and community organizing.\n\nPttP serves the community on many levels, by
offering a free service that\nutilizes fresh, healthy food that would
otherwise go to waste, by aiding in our\nlocal food security through the
distribution of produce to our neighbors and\nfriends who may not always
have access to it, and by creating youth employment\nand environmental
 education.\n https://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2009/06/10/18601240.php
