 face the greatest attack from Sacramento (Democrats & Republicans) from 
 \nbig business and the corporate controlled media in the history of 
 California with pay cuts, \nmass lay-offs and attack on our pensions. The 
 time for united collective action is critical. \nConcessions such as 
 furloughs, paycuts and retirement cutbacks will not solve the attack on 
 \npublic workers. California is one of the riches places in the world yet 
 the poor and working \npeople are paying the cost for this economic crisis. 
 This meeting is to discuss an agenda \nto go on the offensive to save 
 public services and education by using the collective power \nof the 1.5 
 million public workers in California. No union chapter or union local can 
 fight \nalone. This systemic crisis cannot be allowed to pit worker against 
 worker and one public \nsector against another for the crumbs from the 
 table. We also cannot afford to wait until \nanother ballot initiative in 
 November of this year if we are to save public services. The \nspeakers 
 will include members from Richmond Federation of Teachers, SEIU, AFSCME 
 \nLocal 444 and CAPS which represents state workers. \nThe United Public 
 Workers For Action http://www.upwa.info was formed to unite all public 
 \nworkers in California and organize statewide action of all public workers 
 and their unions \non the jobs and in the community. California cannot 
 function without public workers and it \nis time that the people who own 
 California understand that. \nPlease join us in this important meeting and
