DESCRIPTION:The discussion about different ideas on how to achieve women’s liberation
continues with a look at Marxist feminism and Black revolutionary feminism.
From Clara Fraser to Barbara Smith and the Combahee River Collective, the
left wing of the movement brought women of all colors together and provided
the theory that resulted in radical actions.\n\nBefore the meeting, you are
invited to share a delicious home-cooked buffet, a fundraiser for the
organization, served at 6:15pm for a $7.50 donation. \n\nThe event will be
held at New Valencia Hall, 625 Larkin Street, Suite 202, San Francisco
(located five blocks from the Civic Center BART station, and on the #19,
31, 38, 47 & 49 Muni bus lines). For more information or childcare, call
415-864-1278, or email baradicalwomen [at] earthlink.net.\n\n\nContribute
to the $45,000 Radical Women Fund Drive\nJune-August 2009\n\nRadical Women
is an optimistic, socialist feminist organization that educates and trains
women leaders to tackle both survival necessities and the intangibles that
make life worth living—bread and roses. Your help is needed to raise
funds to make our continued organizing for a better world possible. If you
are interested in helping to organize fundraising events, making calls,
preparing mailings, cooking, hosting a house party, then give Anita a call
at 415-864-1278 or come to Volunteer Nights on Wednesdays from 7:00-9:00pm
 at New Valencia Hall.\n\n
