DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon of barbecue, family fun, kayak rides/rentals, and
live music from Captain Mike and the SeaWeeds as we celebrate the Tuolumne
River – the source of Bay Area drinking water for 2.4 million people.
Aquatic Park, San Francisco’s only downtown beach with a protected cove
for swimming and boating, offers spectacular views of Alcatraz, Coit Tower,
and the Golden Gate Bridge.\n\nThis celebration will mark the conclusion of
the Tuolumne River Trust's three-week Paddle to the Sea festival, in which
paddlers have boated the entire Tuolumne River, from its headwaters in the
Yosemite Valley to the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Join us in
Aquatic Park to welcome the paddlers who have come all the way from the
headwaters to the Bay.\n\nLearn more about this incredible river, celebrate
its 25th anniversary as a Wild and Scenic River, and build support for
better stewardship of the River for fish, wildlife, and
recreation.\n\nAdmission is free.\n\nSponsored by the Tuolumne River
 Trust.\n\n https://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2009/05/22/18596873.php
