DESCRIPTION:ART PROGRAM\nDavid Young V: Neighborhood Watch\n\n"Neighborhood Watch is
the second installment of an ongoing series by San Francisco based artist
David Young V. Photos and information from the first installment, Live
Forever are available for viewing at http://babylonfalling.com +. The
series presents an alternate version of San Francisco after the
socio-economic collapse of the world financial system and the deterioration
of what we have known to be the American way of life. Civil unrest and
widespread factionalizing of society result in a prolonged and unsuccessful
military occupation of the Bay Area. The focus of this installment deals
with people beginning to organize new forms of law and social structure
amongst themselves in a city (and country) with no operational government.
This results in the formation of district and neighborhood based militia
groups and volunteer police forces with the intention of providing safety
and security in their own territories. All works displayed in Neighborhood
Watch are large-scale brush/pen & ink representations of abandoned military
and public service vehicles that have been modified and re-purposed to fit
the patrol needs of the local
 population."*\n*http://www.caferoyale-sf.com/artprogramNew.shtml\n\n+ The
