DESCRIPTION:A review and discussion of essays written by veteran activists Nellie Wong,
Merle Woo and Mitsuye Yamada. The collection provides insights about the
issues facing Asian American feminists in the 1908s. Woo and Wong will also
add their commentary on where the women’s movement is today and what
direction it needs to be taking in order to win full rights for all. There
will also be a discussion about the upcoming National Radical Women Fund
Drive and how you can get involved in local fundraising.\n\nBefore the
meeting, you are invited to share a delicious home-cooked Asian buffet, a
fundraiser for the organization, served at 6:15pm for a $7.50 donation. The
event will be held at New Valencia Hall, 625 Larkin St., #202, San
Francisco (located five blocks from Civic Center BART, and on or near #19,
 31, 38, 47, & 49 Muni bus lines). \n\nFor more information or childcare,
please call 415-864-1278 or email baradicalwomen@earthlink.net.\n
