DESCRIPTION:THE CRASH COURSE: Part I \nby Chris Martenson \n\nThe evening begins with a
social hour and potluck supper at 6:00 pm. The film begins at 7:30 pm. A
discussion follows the film. \n\nThis is Chris Martenson's famous “crash
course” in economics -- a seminar he previously called "The End of
Money." Chris Martenson is a hero of our times, doing more to upgrade our
understanding of the present world crisis and our own hardships than a
multitude of traditional theorists. His razor-sharp thinking is so focused
and brilliant that he seems to make his points effortlessly. But the points
he makes are not obvious; they have been buried in obscurity for ages. The
Crash Course explains the consequences of having a monetary system that
MUST GROW linked to an energy system that CAN'T GROW. Add to that peak
depletion across the board of almost all resources due to exponential
population growth and you end up with the ingredients that make quite an
explosive American pie. Martenson begins his seminar stating his opinion
that the next twenty years will be radically different from the past twenty
years. If you are confused about what is really happening with today's
economic crisis, and why everything appears to be crashing all at once,
take Martenson's course by watching his film at Humanist Hall. His course
is an excellent explanation of the flawed economic policies of the U.S.,
and all the more alarming for taking into account current environmental
issues and modern demographics. \n\nWheelchair accessible around the corner
 at 411 28th Street \n\n$5 Donations are accepted \n
