 the California Supreme Court hears the marriage equality case (regarding 
 Proposition 8), Oakland's first lesbian elected official will be honoring 
 local same-sex married couples as the struggle for justice and equality 
 continues.\n\nWe will hear from same-sex married Oakland couples, along 
 with heterosexual allies, including Oakland City Attorney John Russo, and 
 Reverend Byron Williams.\n\nThe "speak out" will conclude with a ceremony 
 to honor our same-sex married couples, and eating cake!\n\nOakland City 
 Hall\nCity Council Chambers (3rd Floor)\nOne Frank Ogawa Plaza\n\nFriday
