 printmaking by Kyle McKinley Opening Show\nFebruary 6th 5pm\nat 
 SubRosa\n703 Pacific Avenue, Santa CruzKyle McKinley’s art\nand activism 
 are focused on community-based\nappropriate technologies. For the past five 
 years that has taken the\nform of working in organizations that teach 
 people to maintain their\nbicycles.\nKyle\ncompleted a double major in 
 Sculpture and\nWorld Literature at UC Santa Cruz. At that time his artworks 
 were\ninstallations that offered embodied equivalents to 
 Post-Structuralist\ntheory.\n\nMore\nrecently Kyle’s has made ‘zines 
 that\nappropriate the idioms of early twentieth century children’s 
 literature\nto form social commentary. These publications, the art-objects 
 that\naccompany them, and any future works are rooted in
