 producer and therapist, Helen Grieco, will present a free lecture, 
 “Empowering Ourselves and Our Daughters,” on Monday, February 16th, 
 from 6:30pm to 8:30 pm at the Berkeley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 
 1606 Bonita Ave, Berkeley, CA.  Grieco will talk about how to increase 
 personal safety, how to examine personal psychology, relationships, and 
 attitudes about body image and finances.  She invites all women to this 
 event, and strongly encourages moms with their teenage daughters to attend.

 the SHE Institute, which trains women and girls to be safer, healthier, 
 economically independent advocates and leaders. She founded "Defending 
 Ourselves Self-Defense School," where she trained thousands of women and 
 girls. She has more than twenty years experience as an individual and group 
 counselor and was an active member of the National Organization for Women 
 (NOW) for 25 years, including serving as the California president. She is 
 an author and producer of educational media for women and girls.
