DESCRIPTION:The CommuniTree Festival, along with the Art In Action organization, is 
 proud to announce a new arts, ecology, and healing series dedicated to the 
 next paradigm of awareness on planet earth. This seminal confluence of 
 culture will directly benefit a powerful new Green Media Arts Center for 
 Oakland Youth\n\nAs part of the four-day festival, In The Community day 
 programs will offer hands-on service in low-income schools, hospitals, and 
 urban gardens. These projects will facilitate tree plantings, educational 
 teachings, garden theater parties, and arts & healing workshops for 
 children and youth.\n\nWhere: La Pena Cultural Center\nWhen: 7:30PM- 
 11:00PM\nWhat: Panel on "The Ecology/Economy of Community": Joanna Macy 
 (acclaimed author); Drew Dellinger (poet, Planetize The Movement); Beth 
 Waitkus (executive director, Insight Garden Program); Kemba Shakur 
 (executive director, Urban Releaf); Brahm Amadi (founder of People's 
 Grocery). \n\nLive Music by: LoCura (globally aclaimed flamenco/reggae
