 of the 1930s\n\nThe depression which began in 1929 was a period of intense 
 conflict\nbetween social classes all over the world. In the U.S., 
 mass\nunemployment at first led to a mood of caution and fear among 
 both\norganized and unorganized workers. Employers tried to take 
 advantage\nof what they saw as weakness and launched campaigns of wage 
 cuts, job\nchanges and speedups. In 1934, the simmering rage of working 
 people\nburst out in three mass strikes (in San Francisco, Minneapolis 
 and\nToledo) which changed labor history.\n\nCome to a PEACE AND FREEDOM
