 Drive for Children of the Canal District\nThis week the Canal Welcome 
 Center is collecting toys for their Annual Holiday Children’s Party that 
 will happen this Saturday, from 1 pm to 3 pm, at Pickleweed Park in San 
 Rafael.\nThe Canal Welcome Center serves poor and low-income families of 
 Marin county with employment services, counseling, business workshops and 
 educational outreach.\nNEEDED: TOYS, GIFT WRAPPING PAPER AND YOUR 
 SUPPORT!!\nWelcome Center is looking for educational toys to give out to 
 the 300 children that will be attending the party on Saturday. The 
 children, who come from low-income families, are ages 3 to 10 years 
 old.\nWelcome Center would be happy to receive any toy for these children, 
 and especially educational toys such as puzzles, art supplies, and toys 
 that do not depict “violence” of any kind. \nWelcome Center would also 
 be happy to receive holiday gift wrap paper and tape.\nDrop Toys and 
 Donations at:\nCanal Welcome Center\n141 Alto Street-San Rafael\nSan 
 Rafael, CA 94901\nor\nTHIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT, 6 p.m, people are invited to 
 attend Welcome Center’s organizing evening for Saturday’s party.  The 
 center needs volunteers to gift wrap and plan for Saturday.\n Please attend 
 and drop off a toy!  Weds. night 6 p.m. at:\nCanal Welcome Center,\n141
